Little Rampart

The Focus "A roof for everyone" is presented by the Dévo Foundation

Mariem, 53, a former luxury real estate agent, has been living at a shelter for several months. If she had the courage last June to leave her large house in Namur to escape a violent man, she had no idea that she would have to lose everything. In a daily struggle to get by, and surrounded by women much more precarious than her, Mariem tries to live this unprecedented social fall as an immersion in real life. When she finally manages to leave this emergency shelter, her view of the world will have changed forever, enriched by all the women she will meet on her way.

The screening will be followed by a discussion with Stéphanie Lampron, Executive Director of the YWCA Québec , and Linh Nguyên-Biron, a social worker at La Maison des femmes de Québec

After her studies at INSAS, Ève created documentary portraits where she was also DOP: portraying miners, the disappearance of factories, etc. After her last doc (En Bataille, Magritte for Best Documentary), Ève embarked on her first fiction feature, Temps Mort. She returns to documentaries with this 2nd feature : Petit Rempart.
