Lydia and the Mist Rider - Festival de cinéma de la ville de Québec
When her older brother Thaddeus is mysteriously kidnapped by the Spellbinder, 11-year-old Lydia sets off to find him in the Misty Sea. Picked up by the crew of a flying ship, the Dolphin, Lydia becomes the apprentice of Ambrosia, a Stargazer. Ambrosia is trying to find other children who have disappeared, including her own son. Determined to solve the mystery, Lydia must learn stargazing magic and ready herself to confront the Spellbinder.

Emilie Rosas
A native of Montreal, Emilie Rosas began studying film at the Université du Québec à Montréal in 2007, then film directing at INIS (Institut National de l’Image et du Son) in 2010. In 2011, she received the PNA scholarship from the Canadian Academy of Cinema and Television.She has directed several short films, including Les cennes chanceuses, Les bons termes selon Dewey, and Comme les dinosaures, which have garnered attention and won numerous awards at Canadian and international film festivals.
She is currently working on various feature-length fiction projects, including L’univers me comprend et m’engloutit and Cheer. Her virtual reality documentary about opera singer Joseph Rouleau, Dernier Rappel, was selected for the prestigious South by Southwest Festival.
She wrote the screenplay and co-directed her first animated feature film, Lydia and the Ship of Storms, which is set to be released on February 20, 2026.

Philippe Arsenau-Bussières
A native of Quebec City, professional illustrator, and animator, Philippe Arseneau Bussières studied graphic design and then honed his skills in computer animation at the NAD Center. From 1997 to 2000, he worked as a 3D animator for Ubisoft. During that time, he helped create video games as well as a pilot episode for the TV series Rayman. In 2001, he directed his first short film: Tranche de rue. This film earned him both the Audience Award and the Jury Prize at the Vidéaste-recherché(e)*festival. He subsequently served as art director and animator for the film La vie avec un brin de folie, produced by the National Film Board of Canada. This short film was nominated at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in 2004.Alongside his work in animation, Philippe pursues a career as an illustrator with his partner, under the name Fil et Julie.
Starting in 2002, he expanded his career into the world of 3D animation by creating storyboards for 10e Ave’s first films: The Story of the Christmas Stocking, The Tradition of the Yule Log, and The Kiss Under the Mistletoe. The year 2013 marked the release of 10e Ave’s first 100% Canadian 3D animated feature film, La légende de Sarila, for which he served as art director. In 2015, he joined the production teams for La Guerre des Tuques 3D and La Course des Tuques.
He subsequently served as art director on Nelly and Simon: Mission Yeti, Félix and the Treasure of Morgäa, and Katak, the Brave Beluga, and is now serving as art director and co-director on 10e Ave’s upcoming feature film, Lydia and the Ship of Storms.

Nancy Florence Savard
A leading figure in the rise of 3D animation in Quebec and founder and president of 10e Ave Productions, Nancy Florence Savard co-produced and directed the first 100% Canadian stereoscopic 3D animated feature film, released in theaters in 2013: The Legend of Sarila.In 2014, having already won numerous awards, she received the Birks Diamond Tribute Award as a director, presented to the women of the year in film.
That same year, she produced the first feature-length animated film made entirely in Quebec City, in French, Le Coq de St-Victor, distributed by Universal Studios in 98 countries. During the 2018 school break, 10e Ave launched its third animated feature film, which Nancy Florence co-directed and produced, Nelly and Simon: Mission Yeti. To mark its 20th anniversary, 10e Ave began production in 2019 on its fourth animated feature film, Félix et le trésor de Morgäa, a family adventure film that was released in Quebec in February 2021, sold in 170 countries and territories, and selected for 11 film festivals.
In 2019, she also received the Film Producer of the Year award from the Quebec Media Production Association. In 2022, she became the first recipient of the Roch Demers Award, which honors individuals and institutions that have distinguished themselves through their contributions to children’s cinema.
Her productions have been selected for no fewer than sixty festivals worldwide and have won numerous awards. The rights to her films have been sold in more than 170 countries and territories.
In the winter of 2023, 10e Ave’s fifth animated feature film, Katak, the Brave Beluga, was released and grossed nearly $1.8 million at the Canadian box office. In addition to numerous nominations, such as the Rayonnement Hors Québec Award and the Michel Côté Audience Award, Katak, the Brave Beluga won several awards: Best Screenplay, Best Art Direction, the 2023 Special Mention from the Youth Jury, and the Audience Choice Award at the Quebec City Family Film Festival (FCEQ); the Audience Award at FIFEM; the Best Feature Film Award at the Gijón International Film Festival in Spain; and the Setagaya City Award at the 31st KINEKO International Film Festival.
In 2024, in recognition of all these achievements, Nancy Florence Savard was awarded an honorary doctorate in the Art and Science of Animation by Laval University. Through her company, 10e Ave, Nancy Florence is currently developing five animated feature films, two live-action feature films, and several children’s series. The release of her sixth 3D animated feature film, which she is producing and co-directing, is scheduled for February 20, 2026: Lydia and the Ship of Storms.
