Héloïse has nowhere to go. She meets Mallorie, who offers to let her stay in the flat she shares with two other young women. Héloïse finds a new home and a new family there. But their past wounds threaten the fragile balance between these women who appear so strong on the surface.

Screening with director Bérangère McNeese in attendance.
Bérangère McNeese’s visit is made possible thanks to the invaluable collaboration of Wallonie-Bruxelles International and its mobility support program.

Bérangère McNeese

A self-taught actress, Bérangère McNeese began appearing in commercials as a child. She took theater classes in Brussels before moving to Paris at age 18 to pursue a career in acting. In 2013, she played the daughter of Dany Boon and Valérie Bonneton in the film Eyjafjallajökull, as well as in Catherine Castel’s Belle comme la femme d’un autre.
In 2017, she played one of the lead roles in Alain Tasma’s TV movie Le viol, based on the Tonglet-Castelano case. That same year, she starred in the series Like Moi, adapted from the Quebec series of the same name, for France Télévisions. Beginning in 2015, she also began working as a screenwriter and director. In 2020, she won the Magritte Award for Best Short Film for her film Matriochkas, which also received the Grand Prize at the Palm Springs Film Festival and the Best Director Award at the Rhode Island International Film Festival.
She gained widespread recognition for her role as Daphné Forestier in the series HPI, and later for her role as Linda Leroy in the series Des gens bien, which won the Grand Prix for Best Series at the Luchon TV Festival in 2023. She starred in both seasons of Julien Leclerq’s series Braqueurs on Netflix, and played Ms. Janin, the music teacher, in the series Lycée Toulouse-Lautrec in 2023 and 2024.
She was nominated for the Magritte Award for Best Female Newcomer in 2024 for her role in François Pirot’s film Ailleurs si j'y suis.
Her workload intensified even further in 2024. She joined the cast of Jamel Debbouze’s series Terminal on Canal+, alongside Ramzy and Camille Chamoux, among others. She also joined the cast of Chamoux’s series, ChamouxLand, that same year. She appeared in season 4 of Emily in Paris. In a more dramatic vein, she also starred in Sans pitié, Julien Hosmalin’s debut feature film, alongside Adam Bessa and Tewfik Jallab, which premiered at the Angoulême Film Festival in 2025.
In 2025, Bérangère McNeese directed her first feature film, Les Filles du ciel.
