We’re More than Sunsets captures the spirit of a Gaspésie summer through the gaze of local youth aged 4 to 18, forming a vivid mosaic of intimate portraits. Amid laughter, whispered secrets, and days spent kayaking or racing on motocross bikes, the film unveils a genuine vision of this eastern Quebec peninsula, far from postcard stereotypes. With both tenderness and precision, the director reconnects with his roots, depicting the vitality of a remote community while honoring the beauty found in connection and shared moments.

Antony Boudreau-Savoie
Originally from the Gaspésie region, Antony Boudreau Savoie is an independent filmmaker based in Montreal. After completing his degree in cinema from the Université de Montréal, he directed “Prey” (2021) as his graduation film, which was presented at the Fantasia International Film Festival, Vues du Québec in Florac, and the Quebec City Film Festival, among others. He now focuses his work on documentaries, with a keen interest in his native region. Through film, he seeks to connect with others with compassion and humor.
